The end of the semester is very quickly approaching and so is the end of this class. This class, as I have stated before, has been very enjoyable for me and I have learned alot and approached every week of this class as a learning opportunity. I have made sure to title every lecture I have taken notes on so that I can save my notebook and use the skills and yips in my future classes or potential career.

The discipline of Journalism has so many different branches. I didn’t know how much you can truly do with a Journalism degree and how many different career pathways one could take. The writing for each of the different disciplines can be vastly different. The technicality of the writing is so interesting to me and I am beginning to notice the technical writing abilities of journalists I read every day.

I now read the ESPN articles seeing inverted pyramids and seeing how the writers attribute and it follows the same rules that I have been learning. Now that I know that it has changed the way I read and now every article I read I use as a learning opportunity, especially when it comes to writing about sports. I have started to pay more attention to who writes certain things and keep track of the writers I enjoy and who cover the sports I would potentially wat to one day cover. I love a class that influences my everyday life and gives me tools I want and plan to use in the future.
